When a cat offered to look after Neilín the baby elephant, her parents were relieved as they went back to work. But when Neilín began learning new tricks from the cat, like washing herself with her tongue and climbing trees, Mom and Dad were aghast.

Now the cat has been sent away and Neilín is sad. Will she ever see her friend the cat again? And if she does, what can happen to persuade Mom and Dad to let Neilín play with the cat?
